about ChamberFestDBQ 2020
"It is always a joy... I look forward to making music together again in 2021."

I am disappointed that under current circumstances we are unable to gather this summer for ChamberFestDBQ. It is always a joy to share our music with you and to return to Iowa in support of Northeast Iowa School of Music. I cherish the annual opportunity to see you and so many of our dedicated supporters. I will miss our gathering this summer, but I am already looking forward to our next ChamberFestDBQ in 2021.

I began our festival in 2009 as a way to support Northeast Iowa School of Music during a difficult economic period. We now find ourselves in an even more perilous time for musicians and music teachers—unable to gather in person for lessons and classes, let alone concerts.

I hope you will continue to support Northeast Iowa School of Music during this crisis by contributing whatever you normally offer to attend or sponsor ChamberFestDBQ. I know that with our support and the ingenuity of its staff and faculty, Northeast Iowa School of Music will continue to thrive. The sense of community that organizations like NISOM provide to our city are now more important than ever.

Thank you for your support, both personal and financial, over the past 11 seasons of ChamberFestDBQ. I look forward to making music together again in 2021.

Take care,

 Michael Gilbertson
